On the cruise liner "Atlantis" interested couples can now book a symbolic wedding ceremony onboard during the voyage. Besides the basis package, further individually bookable services are available for this exclusive event. The basis package includes a preferential check-in for the bridal couple and its guests, the wedding ceremony with the captain and a wedding certificate.
A wedding ceremony which is conducted by a captain or officer of a ship, however, has no validity in Germany. It is always necessary to re-perform the marriage at the registry office.
